The Government of Grenada continues to make significant strides in its transformational agenda. June 23 marks its third-year anniversary led by Prime Minister the Honourable Dickon Mitchell —a significant milestone that reflects both the progress achieved and the government’s unwavering dedication to building a resilient, inclusive, and prosperous Grenada.
Since assuming office on June 23, 2022, the NDC government has pursued a transformative agenda rooted in transparency, good governance, economic diversification, and social equity.
Over the past three years, significant advancements have been made across key sectors:
Public Sector
Bi-monthly salary payments
Payment of Pensions- Over $75.1 million paid to 525 eligible retirees
Regularisation of Public Officers
New Pension Plan for Public Officers
Minimum Wage Adjustments
Education
Expansion of scholarships, notably first-generation Scholarships through Monroe University
Free Tuition at TAMCC and NEWLO
Teaching of Grenadian History in our schools
Advanced training in digital technology and cyber security
Healthcare
Upgrades to major health facilities
Signing a long-term collaboration agreement with Mt. Sinai International ● Plans are currently underway to build the Caribbean’s first climate-resilient smart research Hospital and Medical City in Hope Vale.
Youth & Sports
Enhancement of the M-Power Programme for at-risk young men, Implementation of the Elevate Her Programme, which trains hundreds of young women across Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinque.
The refurbishment of the Cricket Stadium and the Kirani James Athletic Stadium, the formation of parish sports councils, and establishment of a defined Sports Policy that caters to all Grenadian athletes competing on the regional and international stages.
Agriculture and Food Security
Revitalisation through farmer support grants, and promotion of climate-smart agricultural practices, scholarships for farmers, promotion of youth in agriculture programmes, direct support will be provided to farmers to increase the production of strategic crops and enhancement of our livestock production.
Prioritising agro-processing through the provision of equipment such as food chippers, dehydrators, and grinders to support the processing of targeted commodities.
Establish and Support Labour Enterprises by providing training and access to critical equipment such as weed eaters, chain saws and pruners.
Strengthen Programmes to Combat Praedial Larceny through data collection support; transportation support (motor bikes), training support and enforcement support.
Renewable Energy and Climate Resilience
Strategic investments in sustainable energy and infrastructure to bolster national resilience, accelerate Grenada’s green energy transition through Geothermal exploration. ● Installation of solar plants in Carriacou and Petite Martinique for sustainable clean energy.
Creation of Sargassum Task Force
Housing and Social Development
Water Access and Sanitation in Homes Programme (WASH)
Launch of Project 500- building of 500 Grenadian style homes that are climate smart and sustainable.
Infrastructure
Police Headquarters
Fort George Restoration Project
Improvement of road infrastructure including True Blue Main Road, Grand Etang, the Cliff Road, Moliniere Road among others.

Prime Minister Mitchell reaffirmed his government’s commitment to participatory governance and national unity:
“This anniversary is a reflection of the Grenadian people’s resilience, aspirations, and trust. We will continue to work with all sectors of society to ensure that no one is left behind.”
As Grenada navigates evolving global and regional challenges, our government remains focused on innovation, inclusion, and sustainable development—building a future where every citizen can thrive.
The Prime Minister also emphasised the importance of humility, service, and shared humanity in leadership:
“Leadership is about working with a team—recognizing everyone’s strengths and flaws—and growing together. Governance is not just about making decisions; it’s about understanding public policy, engaging in international relations, and shaping the future through inclusive dialogue.”
He concluded with a call for continued civic engagement:
“This country belongs to all of us—not just to politicians, so I encourage every citizen to remain engaged, to contribute, and to believe in the power of collective progress. Let us stay humble, stay hungry for growth, and continue building a better Petite Martinique, Carriacou and Grenada, together.”
