The stage is set in the Sister Isle of Carriacou for the hosting of the 2024 Maroon and String Band Music Festival, under the banner of celebrating a cultural heritage.
The three-day celebration starts tomorrow and runs through to the 28th.
The celebration includes Traditional songs, dancing, drumming, food and cultural performances, as a part of efforts highlighting African roots, the rich history and culture of the people in Carriacou.
Rina Mills the tourism authorities’ representative on the sister isle spoke with wee fm news, and indicated that this year’s affair will be a spectacle one that should not be missed.
Rina stated there will be added attractions to this year’s activity.
