Organizers of the 2023 independence calypso competition say theyโre happy with the number of entries that were received for this yearโs competition.ย
Six females are among the group of 21 chosen for the semi- final round, carded for January 28, 8pm at the La Sagesse Playing field.
The twenty-one Calypsonians were chosen from a pool of forty-four entries, the largest number to date, since the start of the competition.
Coordinator of the Independence calypso competition, Adrian Mark, is pleased with the turn-out this year.
Rehearsals with the band begin tomorrow at the Grenada Trade center at 5:30 in the afternoon.
Calypsonians are asked to walk with the music score-sheet when coming to the rehearsals.
