The National Water and Sewerage Authority (NAWASA) acknowledges the growing concern among residents and road users in St. Andrew regarding delays in road resurfacing works under the G-CREWS (Grenada Climate-Resilient Water Sector) Project. These delays have primarily resulted from repeated shortfall in the availability of asphalt—an issue beyond the immediate control of both the Authority and contractor.

The Authority apologizes for the inconvenience caused and fully understand the frustration this has generated, particularly in areas where road reinstatement has been delayed. Please be assured that both NAWASA and the project contractor have been actively working to address this shortfall and mitigate the impact on affected communities.

NAWASA has engaged with relevant stakeholders in seeking urgent support to expedite access to the necessary materials. Our teams are exploring all available avenues to ensure the efficient reinstatement of roads while minimizing further disruption. NAWASA thanks the public for their continued patience and understanding as we work together to build a more climate-resilient water sector and restore infrastructure that meets the needs of all.
