Looking at this month’s petroleum price adjustment by the Ministry of Finance, gasoline goes down 2 cents, while there’s an increase in diesel, kerosene, the 100-pound cylinder of cooking gas and bulk gas. 

The new prices are effective as of today.

On the mainland, as well as in Carriacou and Petit Martinique, gasoline at the pumps will now be sold at 16 dollars and 86 cents per gallon, 2 cents down from the old price set last month.

Diesel goes up 75 cents from 16 dollars and 25 cents to 17 dollars.

Kerosene up by 64 cents, from 13.13 to 13.77. 

In Grenada, the 20-pound cylinder of cooking gas remains constant at 40 dollars, while the 100-pound cylinder changes upward to 281 dollars, a 12 dollar/25-cent increase from last month’s price adjustment. 

Bulk goes up 15 cents and will now be sold at 2 dollars and 90 cents per pound. 

In Carriacou and Petite Martinique, the 20-pound cylinder of cooking gas remains constant at 49 dollars and the 100-pound cylinder goes up to 304 dollars, from the old price of 291.75. 

Bulk, like on the mainland, will be sold at 2 dollars and 90 cents, up from 2.75, a 15-cent increase. 

The new retail prices, the Ministry of Finance says are computed based on the average of the actual cost, freight, and insurance rates for Gasoline, Diesel, and Kerosene however, for LPG, the mean Caribbean postings (Platts) for cost was used over the period August 31, 2023, to September 28, 2023.
