With the idea that fishing is the way of life for the citizens on the Sister Isle, the residents in the sister territories are said to be gearing up for the 2019 Petite Martinique Maroon Festival, carded for next month.
That will be the mode of expression as the inhabitants settle into festivities for the occasion.
The Petite Martinique Tourism and Cultural Committee will be hosting the festival under the theme ‘The Traditional Petite Martinique Wedding’.
The celebration takes on the formation of tradition, which includes cooking and sharing of food and a cultural showcase.
A number of sporting events will be rolled out on the day’s agenda.
The festivity will conclude with performances from various local and regional musical performers.
