Dog Owner Charged

A St. George dog owner has been arrested and charged following the alleged attack of his pit-bulls on another resident.

Andrew Ventour, 24 years, Conductor of La Mode was charged on Friday 11th November, 2016 on one count each of causing injury by a dangerous dog and failing to have a warning notice of “dangerous dog” affixed to his place of residence.

Two additional charges have been laid against Andrew Ventour, he is charged with failing to insure and license a dangerous dog.

Ventour who owned two pit-bulls that have since being seized has been granted bail in the sum of 15-thousand dollars. He is due to appear at the St. George’s Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 10th January, 2017.

The Royal Grenada Police Force is reminding owners of dangerous dogs of their obligation under the Dangerous Dog Act to ensure that their animals are kept under proper control, properties are securely fenced and that they are in possession of a policy of insurance of no less than 250-thousand dollars, amongst others.
