Customs And Excise Department Sends Out Notice For Asycuda System

0

The Customs and Excise Department is advising Importers, Exporters and their Agents that as of January 15th they’ll not be permitted to use Fourteen Zeros when processing documents in the Asycuda System.

A release from the Ministry of Finance says an occasional importer/exporter form together with consignee identification would be required to complete the clearance process.

Brokers and Agents are asked to take note of the change and advise their clients accordingly.

Any previous or alternative procedures, the Ministry of Finance says should be considered null and void.

The Ministry is hoping for the co-operation of all, as it works towards improving their service to all stakeholders.
