National U16 Netball Team Selected

A 17 member team will leave Grenada on Thursday for Antigua/Barbuda to participate in the Caribbean Netball Association’s (CNA) 19th Jean Pierre Youth U16 Netball Championships.

The Ministry of Sports here yesterday announced the team which will represent Grenada at the tournament.

They are Shaniah John (Captain), Celina Brown, Celine Brown, Zinae Lewis, Regina Samuel, Jaydeen Williams, Josie Mc Leod, Jamora Alves, Raynia Frederick, Shidel John, Kalidah Andrew and Jeanelle De Coteau.

According to reports from the ministry of sports the Spice Girls U16 squad has been preparing over the past weeks to compete against the likes of Antigua/Barbuda, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Bermuda, Dominica, and St. Lucia.

The team will be managed by Constance Belfon, coaches Arlene Williams and Kisha Murray and accompanied by Physiotherapist Mario Christopher and Umpire Kathy-Ann Gabriel.

The Championship is carded for March 28 to April 5 in Antigua/Barbuda.

Grenada will play their opening match this Friday against Barbados.
