St. Andrew resident Akim Williams will appear at the Grenville Magistrate’s Court on Friday 10th July, 2020 to answer to the charge of Trafficking in a Controlled Drug.

Williams, 24, was formally charged by police following the seizure of just over four (4) pounds of compressed marijuana at his home on May 12 2020. He was granted fifteen thousand dollars bail with one surety.

The drug has an estimated street value of $9 616.32.

Police investigations are continuing.

 

 

In a separate drug raid, police arrested and charged Rylon Gunpot, 35, Painter of Corinth, St. David after a search of a vehicle he was driving turned up 6½ pounds of compressed marijuana on May 8th 2020.

At the time, Gunpot was traveling alone along the Woodfood, St.John roadway.

The estimated street value of the drug is $14 742.00 ECC.

Gunpot was placed on 10-thousand dollars with one surety. He will make his initial appearance at Gouyave Magistrate’s Court on Friday 28th August, 2020.
