The Ministry of Finance is pleased to announce the commencement of the 2026 National Budget Consultations, which will be held across all parishes and Carriacou beginning Monday, August 25, 2025.
These consultations are a key element of the Government’s pledge to transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement in the budgetary process. They provide a vital platform for Grenadians to share perspectives, ideas, and recommendations, ensuring that the National Budget reflects the priorities and aspirations of the people.
To ensure broad participation, transportation to and from each consultation will be provided. Members of the public are encouraged to contact the Office of their Parliamentary Representatives for further details on transportation arrangements.
Recognising the importance of engaging Grenadians in the diaspora, each consultation will be streamed live on the Government Information Service (GIS) and the Ministry of Finance’s Facebook pages. Members of the diaspora are also invited to contribute their ideas and feedback through the Budget Contribution Portal at finance.gd, ensuring their voices are also reflected in the national dialogue.
The Ministry of Finance emphasises that these consultations are not merely ceremonial but are essential to shaping policies and priorities that directly impact communities. Every contribution, whether from farmers, entrepreneurs, students, professionals, or citizens abroad, adds value to the final Budget presentation.
The Ministry of Finance looks forward to the active participation of all citizens and members of the diaspora as, together, we craft a 2026 National Budget that serves the collective interest and sustainable development of Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique.
