A St. Andrew resident was today, Wednesday 3rd April, 2019, sentenced to one year at Her Majestyโs Prisons for the offence of sand mining.
Denis Sandy, 42 years, of Conference appeared at the Grenville Magistrateโs Court where he pleaded guilty to the charge.
Sandy, who was on bond for a similar offence, was arrested on April 2nd 2019 after being caught removing sand from Conference Beach.
