Fifteen members of the Special Services Unit (SSU) are in Dominica, helping that country with recovery after the passage of hurricane Maria.

They left the island Saturday to join members of the Regional Security System.

The members of the RGPF delegation are trained in specialized areas of peacekeeping.

This makes it the second contingent following the deployment of communication and logistics’ officers who are already in Dominica to support the CARICOM Disaster Relief Unit (CDRU).

We also hear there’ll be a third batch that will leave for Dominica.
