The 1st of October also ushers in the Month of the Elderly, one of the sectors of the population thatโs being given ample consideration, with the onset of the COVID pandemic, due to their state of vulnerability.
Well, October is a time when their plight is usually being highlighted more than ever.
Grenada, each year, joins countries the World over, in observing the occasion, which was today brought on by a message from the Minister of Social Development, Delma Thomas.
She sadly reminisced on the COVID pandemic specifically taking a toll on the elderly.
The Social Development Minister called on the wider population in these COVID-19 times to ensure the elderly fraternity is safe.
