The Grenada Karate Federation (GKF) is proud to announce the participation of two promising junior athletes in the upcoming Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Training Camp, scheduled to take place from June 16 – 22, 2025, in Asunción, Paraguay.

Representing Grenada at the elite training camp are Caribbean Kata Bronze medallist Ethan Courtney, age 20, who competes in the Under-21 category, and Lorenzo Asnaghi, age 15, who participates in the Cadet division. Both athletes have demonstrated exceptional discipline and potential, and they are eager to train alongside the best karate talent from across the Pan American region.

Coach Tisagh Chase, who will accompany the team, expressed his gratitude for the
opportunity and emphasized the significance of this international experience:

“Ethan already has years of competition experience, and this should help him break into the senior competition pool next year,” he said. “Lorenzo recently had an outstanding performance at his Dan examination. I think he’s in great form for a training camp of this calibre. It will definitely help him as we prepare for Junior Panam 2025 and Junior World Championships 2026.”

The GKF extends its heartfelt thanks to the Pan American Karate Federation, Panam Sports, the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, and the Grenada Olympic Committee for their continued support and for making this invaluable opportunity possible.

This initiative is part of the Federation’s broader strategy to expose Grenadian athletes to world-class training environments and strengthen their development ahead of key international competitions.
