We have word that former Grenada Police Commissioner, Edvin Martin, is to take up work in the high office of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force.
Her Excellency the Governor, Dileeni Daniel-Selva-ratnam, today announced Martin’s appointment as the next Commissioner of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force.
The appointment is reported to have followed a rigorous open recruitment campaign that included a stakeholder panel, separate community panel and consultation with Premier Charles Washington Misick.
The Governor noted that Mr. Martin possesses what she described as a “strong set of leadership skills and regional operational experience” having led the Royal Grenada Police Force.
With a distinguished career and commitment to public safety, Governor Selvaratnam is confident that he will lead the country’s police force with integrity, innovation and a firm focus to build trust with communities across the islands.

The former Grenada Police Commissioner is looking forward with optimism to leading the men and women of the RTCIPF in confronting the law enforcement challenges and applying practical, proactive strategies to ensure the safety and security of all citizens and visitors to the shores of Turks and Caicos Islands.
