The Grenada Airports Authority (GAA) proudly announces the launch of  Health and Safety Week 2025, a dynamic initiative aimed at fostering a safer, healthier, and more  sustainable work environment. This annual observance brings together employees, stakeholders, and  partners in a collective commitment to prioritise well-being and uphold the highest safety standards  in aviation and beyond.

Themed “Transforming Health and Safety: The Impact of Artificial Intelligence and Digitalisation in  the Workplace”, this year’s programme highlights the transformative role of technology in  advancing workplace safety. Throughout the week, the GAA will host various activities, including  live safety demonstrations, wellness screenings, mental health sessions, and educational forums led  by national agencies and industry experts.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mrs Kim McQuilkin, Occupational Health, Safety, and Manager,  emphasised, “These events are not only about raising awareness but about empowering our staff,  stakeholders, and the wider Grenadian public with the knowledge and tools to make safer, more  informed choices each day.”

Central to this initiative is the GAA’s OHSE Committee, whose leadership has been instrumental in  cultivating a proactive safety culture. Through progressive policies, ongoing training, and  comprehensive risk assessments, the Committee ensures that health, safety, and environmental  responsibility are embedded in everyday operations.

The GAA also reaffirms its alignment with international standards established by the International  Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). These global benchmarks are not only regulatory frameworks  but also vital assurances of operational excellence, safety, and service quality.

As Health and Safety Week 2025 unfolds, the GAA invites all members of the airport community to  participate in scheduled activities, learn more about ongoing safety initiatives, and recognise the  dedicated professionals who help keep Grenada’s aviation sector secure and resilient.

The GAA also extends sincere thanks to its sponsors, partners, and employees for their invaluable  support in bringing this important week to life.

In a world where safety and well-being are paramount, Health and Safety Week 2025 stands as a  powerful reminder that through innovation, education, and shared responsibility, we can build a  stronger, safer future—together.
