It’s the final day inter-col 2024 and patrons have gathered in their thousands taking in the excitement.
There’s been a hustling and bustling of activity throughout the day, with the transportation sector playing a prominent role.
All the action was showcased on the newly-paved track at the Kirani James International Athletic Stadium.
When things ended yesterday, St. David’s Catholic Secondary with a serious mission to excel, were at the top of the points’ standings in the girls’ category.
SAASS was out front in the Boys.
Well, information at around noon today showed St. David’s Catholic Secondary i still out front in the girl’s category on 141.50 points; Anglican High School 109 points and SAASS third 65.50 points.
In the Boys category, SAASS remains out front on 176.50 points, followed by GBSS 164 points and St. David’s Catholic Secondary School third on 71 points.
As we said earlier, athletics this year seem to be attracting a great deal of spectatorship, at least with anticipation that the marquee CARIFTA games will be held here in Grenada this year, from March 30 to April 1.
With enthusiasts moving out to the Stadium this morning, we took our microphones to the streets to get the sentiments of the Patrons and the school they support.
Looking at the March Past competition, Happy Hill Secondary School won the Boys division and St. David’s Catholic Secondary, the Girls’ division.
