Earthquake Felt In St. Vincent And The Grenadines

The 38th earth tremor to be recorded in the region this year, January 1 to June 25, was felt in St. Vincent and the Grenadines today.

There were differing view among the populace as to who felt it and who didnโ€™t.

The tremor was noted by the UWI Seismic Research Centre in Trinidad at 3.8 magnitude, at around 2 oโ€™clock this morning, southwest of St. Vincent and the Grenadines

It was located at 12.67 North longitude and 62.44 West Latitude., and at a depth of 110 kilometres.

Based on statistics, itโ€™s the 19th tremor to have been recorded in the OECS sub-region.

The last time a tremor was recorded felt here in Grenada was on 2nd April this year, with a magnitude of 3.9, South East of Grenada, at a depth of 97 kilometres.

Relative Vincent and the Grenadines today, there have been no deaths or injuries.
