GRENADA’S PREMIER DIVE resort, Aquanauts Grenada, has been named the overall winner of the 2025 Caribbean Coral Reef Tourism Stewardship Award. The award, presented by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association in collaboration with the (Caribbean

Alliance for Sustainable Tourism) and The Nature Conservancy, recognizes Aquanauts’ outstanding
leadership in reef conservation, community engagement, and sustainable tourism. The dive operator has transformed the invasive lionfish threat into an opportunity for environmental education, reef
protection, and community empowerment.

Thousands of lionfish have been removed from Grenadian reefs, while local youths are trained in marine stewardship creating a model that can be rep-lic-ated across Small Island Developing States.

Co-Founder Tiffany Geer expressed deep gratitude for the honor, saying it reflects the dedication of staff, volunteers, and partners working tirelessly to protect Grenada’s reefs while supporting vibrant coastal communities.
