0

Hon. Dickon Mitchell, Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for St David, will be  hosting the inaugural Financial Awareness Month for the constituents of St. David during the month  of May 2025. This initiative is geared towards empowering individuals in St. David with the knowledge  and tools to achieve financial wellbeing and improvement in the overall quality of life and standard of  living.

The sessions will focus on practical strategies to manage money wisely, save for the future, reduce debt,  and make informed financial decisions.

In addition, financial literacy is a critical life skill that empowers individuals to fully participate in  society and to break barriers that hinder access to basic financial knowledge. The awareness sessions  will also help constituents to gain access to funding opportunities and foster personal growth.

The three roving financial clinics will take place every Thursday in May 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00  p.m., at our various community centres.

“Financial literacy is a key driver of economic stability and personal empowerment. Our goal is to  provide accessible resources and support to constituents so that everyone has the opportunity to build a  secure financial future,” said Member of Parliament, Honourable Dickon Mitchell.

The workshop will take the form of:

  • Interactive Workshops and Presentations
  • One-on-One Sessions with Community Members
