Jermaine Phillip, a 37-year-old businessman of Grand Anse, St. George has been charged with the offences of Possession of Firearm, Possession of Ammunition and Possession of a Controlled Drug.
The charges were laid following a police operation on Tuesday, 22nd July 2025, during which officers intercepted a Suzuki Ignis driven by Mr. Phillip at Grand Anse Valley, St. George. A search of his person uncovered one Taurus pistol and eight rounds of ammunition.
A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery and seizure of 333 grams of cannabis.
Mr. Phillip appeared before St. Georgeβs Magistrateβs Court today, Thursday, 24th July 2025, and was remanded to His Majestyβs Prisons. He is scheduled to re-appear in court on Thursday, 31st July 2025.
